Modification Descriptions

What is Snapback and how can I fix it?

Snapback is a common problem with most controllers, it happens when you flick your left stick in any direction and receive an input in the exact opposite direction. This can cause many unwanted inputs and is one of the most common problems/fixes. We solve the problem by adding a capacitor.

What are Digital Triggers?

Digital Triggers are a common modification that modifies the trigger input. Gamecube controllers have 2 ways of receiving inputs from the trigger, Analog and Digital. The analog input is a value of 0-100 and the digital input is on or off. This modification bypasses the analog input of the controller allowing for a crisp input of either on or off. In addition to bypassing the analog input, we raise the height of when the button is pressed, making it a much faster input and faster release.

What is a Tactile Z button?

The Z button on a stock Gamecube Controller is notorious for a mushy feeling. We can replace this electronic button with a better feeling button that has a *click* feeling rather than a mush.

What are Notches?

Notches exist in every Gamecube controller, stock controller have 8 Angles. These angles are essentially guides for letting you aim your control stick in precise directions. Adding notches that are calibrated to certain values can benefit many characters and make some inputs much easier to do.
